Keyonte is the product of a local high school, Rocky Mount HS, and comes to Wesleyan with a personal-best time of 17:50 (5K). 

During his freshman year in 2018, Williams ran a personal best time of 31:07 in the 8K at the Disney Classic, and 4:37 in the 1500 during the spring track season.
