ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's basketball team is receiving votes in the latest D3hoops Top 15 Women's Poll that was released on Sunday.
The Bishops are coming off a 2-0 week where they swept Greensboro College by over 30 points and improve to 8-1 overall and 6-0 in the USA South, first place in the East Division. Wesleyan's only loss is to D-1 NC Central.
The women received 8 voting points in the national poll, which basically comes out to have them being ranked 25th overall. But because of the smaller number of teams playing during the COVID-19 pandemic, this poll is limited to 15 teams. Only teams which have played a game are eligible to receive votes. With the changing nature of the pandemic, the number of voters and teams voted for may change from week to week.
Wesleyan returns to action on Friday at home to host Averett University at 7:30 PM.
