Women's Soccer Battles Brevard to Scoreless Draw

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's soccer team traveled to Winston-Salem to battle West Division foe Brevard College in a neutral site non-conference amtchup but came away with a lightning-shortened scoreless draw with the Tornados.

Junior forward Sophia Sweeney led the Bishops with 2 shots on goal while senior defender Emily Ketchum had one on the day. Graduate senior goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs made 2 saves in her half of play while reserve keeper Jordan Fransee saved all 4 hots she faced from the Torandos.

BC ended up outshooting the Bishops 8-3 overall. Brevard goes to 1-3-2 on the year while NCWC is now at 2-4-1 on the season.

The Lady Bishops will next be in action on Wednesday when they head to Johnson & Wales (Charlotte) for a 5 pm matchup.
