Women's Tennis Eases Past Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's tennis team continued their hot streak by shutting out conference foe Pfeiffer 9-0 on the road to win their 5th straight.

The Bishops combined to win all three doubles matches by a score of 24-3 including a shutout of 8-0 by the senior #2 tandem of Talitha Rowan and Giulia Zanetti.

Shutting out their opponents in singles was Zanetti at the #2 spot and freshman Elisa Mariotti at the #3 spot while fellow freshman Stefanie Wilske also won 6-0, 7-5 at the top spot to lead the Lady Bishops.

Freshman Julie Schoorsmans then won 7-5, 6-0 at the 4 spot while senior Ana Aguilar won 6-2, 6-1 at the fifth spot. Junior Chandler Brice also defeated her foe 6-0 before her opponent retired.

Wesleyan finishes their regular season 8-6 overall and 6-0 in the East Division to win the Regular Season Title and will next host Methodist next Saturday in the finals of the East Division Tournament.
