What was your major at NCWC?

 Elementary Education

What are you up to now?

I am teaching fifth grade virtually in Powhatan, Virginia. I am also coaching a 16 year old Nationals Travel Team for an organization called XZone.

Who had the biggest influence on you during your athletic career?

My 16s and 18s travel coaches were the biggest influences on me. They both instilled in me a never-give-up type of attitude and gave me the courage to prove those that didn't believe in my abilities wrong.

What advice do you have for NCWC's current student-athletes?

My advice is to remember that you are doing what you love when you're on the field/court and to let go of the little stressors because they won't matter year from now or probably even a week from now. Take in every bit of advice and instruction and use that information how you see fit for your life.

What do you wish you could go back and tell yourself as a freshman?

Don't stress about things that are out of your control and enjoy every minute that you can control.

How did being a student-athlete here at NCWC help prepare you for life after graduation?

It taught me how to prioritize my time and gave me great experiences which has prepared me for my life as a teacher.
