Game Notes: UNCG

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After playing three games in four days in Florida, the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team continues its NBA-like early-season grind when it hosts North Carolina Wesleyan in a pre-Thanksgiving clash.

UNCG is set to begin a three-game homestand. It will play three games in six days. By the time the calendar flips to December, the Spartans will have played nine contests in 23 days. Even Steph Curry would wince at the Spartans' slate.

However, with a first-year coach and several new pieces, the more time on the floor and developing chemistry, the better.

Of course, the Spartans have been taking that literally because they have played three overtime games in their first six contests. That has been an unexpected bonus of 15 additional minutes to learn, grow, and execute during key moments that can't be replicated in practice. Both of UNCG's setbacks this season have been in overtime.
