Baseball Falls to Nichols 10-7

Rocky Mount, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan baseball team fell to Nichols on Friday afternoon 10-7. On the offensive side of the equation, Jackson Hobbs had 2 hits and 3 RBIs with a home run. Blake Scott also had 2 RBIs for the Bishops. Junior Tyson Bass also catapulted a great start for Wesleyan with a monster shot to dead center to make the game 7-2.

Danny Thompson started on the mound for the Bishops and went 4 1/3 innings allowing 8 hits and 5 earned runs in his outing. Clayton Gilmore and Dylan Cheeley then came in and kept the game close, however, the big 7-run 5th for Nichols was too much for Wesleyan to overcome.

The Bishops are back in action on Sunday as they take on Neumann in a DH.
