Baseball Dominates Averett 15-5

Rocky Mount, NC - The NC Wesleyan Baseball team defeated Averett Tuesday 15-5. Wesleyan was led on offense by Luke Chung who had a 4 hit day and recorded 4 RBI's on the afternoon. Jaiden Braker also appeared in one of his first games of his season and looked phenomenal by having 3 hits and 3 RBI's on the day. Wesleyan also had 3 more players with multiple hits including Davie Morgan, Tyson Bass, and Zach Lyon.

On the mound, Hunter Hill got the start for Wesleyan and struck out 6 in 4 innings of work. He was then relieved by Clayton Gilmore who received the win, and then Cullen Davis came in the 7th and struck out 4 in 2 innings of work.

The Bishops were able to break the game open in the 8th where they broke out for 7 runs, took advantage of walks, and brought a lot of runs in.

Wesleyan will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to #3 LaGrange. This will be a rematch of the USA South Championship series last year.
