Lewis Dominates With 32 Points as Bishops Win 7th Straight

Meisenheimer, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan men's basketball team defeated Pfeiffer Saturday afternoon 106-93. The 106-point mark is the program's most in a single game in 4 seasons. The last time Wesleyan scored more was on January 8th, 2019, when the Bishops defeated Greensboro 107-70 in the Back 2 School Jam.

On Saturday, the game was dominated by senior Isaiah Lewis who had a career day with 32 points and 6 rebounds. Lewis' 32 is a career-high for the forward from Knightdale NC, and the 4th time he has scored over 20 points in a game this season. The accomplishment is also the most points scored in a game by any player since last season when Damon McDowell had 32 points against Pfeiffer.

The Bishops also had multiple players in double digits with Brayden Dixon, Marquis Eskew, and Austin Manley.

Wesleyan's dominance on the offensive end did not just come from Lewis, however. The team shot nearly 60% from the floor and precisely 50% from behind the arc which is unheard of in college basketball.

On defense, Wesleyan was able to force the Falcons to commit 15 turnovers while holding the Falcons to 26% from 3.

The Bishops will host Methodist on Tuesday night at home where they will look to win 15 out of their past 16 contests. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30.
