The USA South Athletic Conference's men's soccer coaches have released their 2021 preseason polls. Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting. A new addition to the sport of men's soccer within the Conference will be Southern Virginia who enters the League for its first year of membership.
N.C. Wesleyan was atop the rankings in the East Division poll with 6 first place votes and 48 points and will look to capture the program's ninth regular season League title and its fifth tournament crown as they are coming off a spring regular season East Division championship.
During last season's COVID-altered spring campaign, Greensboro captured the USA South's East Division championship edging out the Bishops 3-2 in overtime in the division semifinals.
Brevard was ranked first in the West Division poll as the Tornados look to continue the program's positive momentum gained through a West Division championship captured during last season's COVID-altered spring campaign.
The 2021 USA South Men's Soccer Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-four seeded teams from each division will advance to the tournament.
The 2021 Bishop Men will kick off their season on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 4 pm when they host Mid-Atlantic Christian. They will also be home this weekend to host Wake Tech in a scrimmage at 2 pm on Saturday.
