Bishops Soccer Shuts Out Greensboro On Senior Day

Rocky Mount, N.C -  The North Carolina Wesleyan University Men's Soccer Team hosted the Pride of Greensboro College on their senior day and recorded a 4-0 shutout.

The Battling Bishops began the game with Sophomore Tommaso Illario scoring the first goal unassisted in the nineteenth minute making the score 1-0. Later in the 1st half of play the Battling Bishops would score their second goal with Junior Agustin Belgiorno unassisted tallying the score to 2-0 in the thirty-fourth minute of play tallying the score 2-0.

NCWU started the second half scoring the third goal of the game with Senior Agustin Rodriguez-Rende assisted by Junior Augustin Belgiorno making the score 3-0. The Battling Bishops would continue applying pressure to the pride scoring the fourth goal of the game off of a penalty kick from Senior David Gonzalez

The match would have 17 shots on goal 15 by The Battling Bishops and 2 by The Pride with four goals by The Battling Bishops and zero by The Pride. Goalie Freddy Rodgers would face 2 shots on goal and 1 save.

The Bishops next game will be hosted at Carolina U at 6:00 PM on October 26.
