Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards for March 4th, and North Carolina Wesleyan's Robert Kjellberg and Johan Ljungdahl were tabbed the league's Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, in men's tennis. These are the first such awards for each this season.
Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Robert Kjellberg, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior from Vetlanda, Sweden collected a win at both number one singles and doubles over opponents from USA South foe Christopher Newport in his only action last week. He did not drop a single game in his singles win and collected the doubles victory with partner Artsiom Prostak.
Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Johan Ljungdahl, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Stockholm, Sweden earned wins at the number-three singles position and the number-two doubles flight over CNU opponents. In doubles play, Ljungdahl teamed with Peter Hviid to earn the victory.
