NCWC Tennis to Face Wash & Lee in NCAA Opener

Rocky Mount, N.C. - After capturing a fifth straight USA South Tournament crown and NCAA berth back on April 14th, the North Carolina Wesleyan men's tennis team has waited three weeks to learn its fate for the upcoming Division III Tournament. Head Coach Worth Richardson's 23rd-ranked Bishops learned on Monday afternoon that they will face 21st-ranked Washington & Lee this Thursday, May 9th.

Emory University will serve as host, meaning that both the Bishops (14-9) and Generals (18-5) will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for their regional match-up, marking the second meeting between the two squads this season. W&L previously posted a 7-2 win over Wesleyan in late March.

The winner will take on the 4th-ranked Eagles (9-5) on Friday. Friday's other second round match pits Whitman (18-6) against Texas-Tyler (19-6), with the two winners meeting on Saturday for a chance to head to the Elite 8 in Kalamazoo, Mich.
