Men's Tennis Sweeps USA South Player of the Week Honors

Macon, GA - The NC Wesleyan men's tennis program took home USA South Player and Doubles of the Week honors for the 3rd straight week. The Bishops played in Orlando, FL over spring break against the nation's toughest competition in a span of five days.

John Falke, N.C. Wesleyan (Player of the Week) - The junior from Halland, Sweden earned a 3-0 singles record and a 2-1 doubles mark last week in the matches he appeared in for the Battling Bishops which each were against teams ranked nationally. In singles, Falke earned wins at the number-two position over an opponent from 31st-ranked Coast Guard before capturing wins at the top singles spot against players from 27th-ranked Carnegie Mellon and 23rd-ranked Kenyon. In doubles, he teamed with Augusto Roca for two wins over opponents from Coast Guard and Carnegie Mellon at the number-three position. 

Sean Keane and Diego Segovia, N.C. Wesleyan (Doubles team of the Week) - The Battling Bishop duo earned a 3-2 record at various doubles positions last week. The team's wins came against nationally-ranked Division III opposition from Coast Guard, Carnegie Mellon, and Kenyon. The losses were to opponents from Division-II Wayne State and NAIA Cardinal Stritch.
