Softball's Offense Breaks Loose in Win Over Salem

Winston-Salem, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan softball program brought their bats and brooms to Salem College for a 15-0 and 4-3 sweep. In game one, the Lady Bishops got two bombs from Makayla Simmons and Molly Alejandrino to help contribute to the massive total of 15 hits. Alejandrino also got three hits for the game and accounted for multiple RBIs. Incredibly, Emily Humphery started the game, but also got two hits and three RBIs of her own. Lillie Baumbach shined in the lead-off spot having a multi-hit game which is a recurring theme in the sweep.

In game two, the ladies won a close 4-3 affair and Molly Alejandrino and Alexis Whitfield had big games at the plate both getting two hits, then Moe Byerly also joined the hit parade with two of her own as well. The Bishops scored all four of their runs in the 6th inning and were able to make a huge comeback victory with the help of Emily Osteguin getting the win in three innings of work. She also only allowed two hits over that span

The Lady Bishops will be right back in action on Monday as they face Greensboro at home. The first pitch is scheduled for 2:00.
