Sofball Loses Heartbreaking DH to Greensboro

Rocky Mount, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan softball program fell to Greensboro in both games on Monday by the scores of 3-1 and 7-4. In game one, the pitching for the Bishops was phenomenal with Emily Humphery tossing six innings only allowing four hits and a run. At the plate, Mary Katherine Raynor was able to get a hit and an RBI to contribute to the Bishops only run. 

In game two, Skyler Walker crushed the ball for Wesleyan, getting three hits while scoring a run in the 7-4 defeat. Morgan Aycock and Emily Humphery threw eight combined innings in the extra inning affair only allowing four runs between them both.

The Bishops fall to 17-10 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. The softball program will also be back in action at home on Wednesday as they face William Peace at 2:00.
