Macon, GA - The freshman first baseman from Henderson, North Carolina was a combined 5-for-9 (.556) with a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.333 slugging percentage to go along with three runs scored, five RBI, one double, two home runs, and one walk as the Battling Bishops posted a 4-0 record last week. In a doubleheader sweep of Guilford, Simmons played in the second game and was 2-for-3 with one run scored, three RBI, one double, and one home run. In a doubleheader sweep of USA South rival Salem, Simmons was a combined 3-for-6 with two runs scored, two RBI, one home run, and one walk.
