MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College lacrosse team dropped their regular season conference finale on the road to Pfeiffer University 16-6 on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops them out of postseason contention as they finish the season with their most wins in school history with four overall but ended up 3-7 in conference. Pfeiffer finishes the year 5-11 and 4-6.

Pfeiffer got out to a 4-0 lead on the Bishops adter the first quarter. Wesleyan came back with three goals in the second quarter on two from sophomore midfielder Blaire Harley and one from freshman attacker Naomi Gitahi but still trailed going into halftime 10-3.

Wesleyan (4-13) then got to within 11-5 midway through the third on two more goals from Harley, but could get no closer the rest of the way as a goal from senior midfielder Madeline Graham at the end of the third made it 14-6.

Graham led the way winning five draw controls while gaining two ground balls and forcing two turnovers. Harley then led with 4 goals and 7 shots with three draw control wins. Sophomore defender Aisling Key then grabbed two ground balls while forcing three Pfeiffer turnovers and winning two draws.
