Lacrosse Records Season's First Win Over Warren Wilson

Rocky Mount, NC - The NC Wesleyan Lacrosse program picked up its first win of the season on Saturday over Warren Wilson. The ladies fell behind early in the contest but rallied for 4 4th quarter goals to win. Nakayla Chatman had a big afternoon for the Bishops scoring 3 goals in the contest. The trio of Lailah Espinal, Lily Mccarty, and Blaire Harley all had 3 goals as well. These 3 played vital roles in the 4th quarter taking advantage of the advantage.

Wesleyan played most of the 4th with the man-up advantage which sealed the big come-from-behind win. The ladies were also able to get 2 goals in the second period to give the team a spark. Goalkeeper Jillian Stine also recorded huge saves throughout the affair and especially in the 4th period to hold off several shot attempts within the final minutes.

The Bishops improve on the season to 1-3 and will face Guilford Wednesday night at home.
