Lacrosse Falls to Meredith and Piedmont

This week, the N.C. Wesleyan lacrosse program fell in USA South contests to Meredith and Piedmont. A recurring theme for the Bishops has been the outstanding play of Lailah Espinal who has been a strong contributor from the midfield position recording multiple ground balls in the contests and is always aggressive around the goal, attempting multiple shots a game. Lily Mccarty and Nakayla Chatman have been strong contributors and can drive on stifling defenses getting shots on goal.

Both of them are also in the mix on the defense side of the ball picking up ground balls off of forced turnovers helping Wesleyan penetrate and run sets on the offensive side of the ball.

The Lady Bishops fall to 2-8 on the season and will face Southern Virginia at home on Saturday. The start time is slated for 1:00.
