Kidder, Burkhart Top Women's Soccer All-Conference Awards

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards in the sport of women's soccer. Led by First Team honorees Tayler Kidder and Victoria Burkhart, the Battling Bishops had seven players garner postseason recognition.

Both freshmen, Kidder and Burkhart helped guide the Bishops to a 10-6-2 overall record this fall, including a 9-4-1 mark in USA South play. Kidder was honored as a First Team All-East Division midfielder and was the lone Bishop to earn overall First Team accolades. Burkhart was also an East Division First Teamer, having anchored a Bishop defense that posted 10 shutouts this season. She also dished our four assists and tallied one gamewinner to complete a solid inaugural campaign.

The All-East Division Second Team boasted four Wesleyan players. At forward, senior Logan Bill and sophomore Lauren Seegel were recognized at forward. Bill led NCWC with six goals and two assists for 14 total points, while Seegel's five scores included a trio of gamewinners in conference play.

Ella Burkhart joined them as a midfield selection after tallying a pair of goals and four assists, while fellow junior Ashley Major picked her first postseason award at goalkeeper. Major's ten shutouts saw her rank in league's top-five in goals-against-average (0.69) and save percentage (0.831).

Rounding out Wesleyan's honorees was junior Hannah Tolson on the All-Sportsmanship Team. Tolson recorded a trio of goals and one assist this season in the midfield.
