The USA South Athletic Conference's women's soccer coaches have released their 2021 preseason polls. Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting. A new addition to the sport of women's soccer within the Conference will be Southern Virginia who enters the League for its first year of membership.

Methodist was atop the rankings in the East Division poll and will look to capture the program's 13th regular season League title and its third tournament crown. During last season's COVID-altered spring campaign, Greensboro captured the USA South's East Division championship for the second time in the past three seasons as they edged the Lady Bishops 3-2 in the tournament semifinals.

Maryville was ranked first in the West Division poll and will look to capture a regular season title for the fourth time in the past five seasons. As for last year's COVID-altered spring campaign, it was Piedmont who earned the West Division championship.

The 2021 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-five seeded teams from each division will advance to the tournament.

The Wesleyan women return almost their entire solid nucleus from a semester ago that saw them go 4-3-2. Returners include All-Region goalkeeper and captain Alicia Jacobs as well as senior defenders Emily Ketchum and Emily Sullivan to anchor the backline.

The Lady Bishops were selected 4th in the USA South poll with 53 points and one first place vote. They will kick off their season next Wednesday with a road game at Shenandoah before returning home Fri., Sept. 3 to host Bob Jones Universityy at 3 pm.
