CARY, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's soccer team fell 1-0 on the road at William Peace University Tuesday evening.

The tough one-goal loss was the Bishops' fifth consecutive game that was decided by one goal, as Wesleyan is staying very competitive throughout each match in conference play.

A scoreless first half saw Wesleyan lead 5-3 in the shot count at halftime. Peace then broke through for the game's only goal in the 48th minute while outshooting the Bishops just 6-4.

Wesleyan put 5 shots on goal and attempted 9 shots overall, even with the Pacers, but could not find the back of the net in the loss.

Graduate Senior goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs finished the day making 3 saves on 4 shots on goal while senior midfielder Kailey Munro led the team with 4 total shots and 2 on goal.

The Lady Bishops fall to 3-9-1 overall and 1-5 in the East Division while Peace improves to 4-4-2 and 2-2-1 in the East.

NCWC will now return home to host Salem College (N.C.) on Saturday on Senior Day at 2 PM.
