Bishops Have Record Breaking Performance at Trojan Challenge Meet

Mount Olive, NC - The N.C. Wesleyan track program made its presence felt at the 6th annual Trojan Challenge Meet. In freshmen Ahnia Cherry's first outdoor competition of the year, she had a U.S.A. South Conference record-breaking performance in the 200-meter run posting a time of 24.80 seconds. This also ranks Cherry 2nd overall in the 200m nationally.

Sophomore Mariah Brooks opened up in the 100m with a time of 12.06 seconds placing her second in the meet in a field comprised of 24. Mariah is currently ranking 3rd overall nationally. 

Both of these phenomenal athletes ranked 1st in the USA South.
