That year (2012), she also added 27 aces, 346 digs, and 29 blocks. Smith had 399 kills during her junior season in 2011 as well.

Smith-Beasley would go on to finish her career with 1,337 kills to rank 2nd all-time at Wesleyan in career kills while she ranks third in career attack attempts with 3,632. Smith is also 5th on the school list in total attempts in a season with 1,027 during her junior year in 2011.

Meredith was also named to the USA South All-Conference team during all four years of her career. She was a third team selection in 2009, a second team selection in 2010 and 2011 and finally an Honorable Mention selection in 2012.

Smith-Beasley was also a big part in helping NCWC reach 20 wins in each of her four seasons at Wesleyan under Robin Pietryk. Smith's teams combined to go 87-45.

Prior to coming to Wesleyan, Smith-Beasley attended Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane, NC graduating in 2009 where she lettered in volleyball.

What was your major at NCWC?

Criminal Justice

What are you up to now?

Recently a new mom to sweet girl Parker Beasley. Currently live in Burlington, NC with my husband Will Beasley (NCWC Baseball alum). I work for First Savings & Loan in Mebane as a customer representative.

What would you consider your greatest accomplishment since graduating from NCWC?

My greatest accomplishment since graduating from NCWC would be becoming a wife and a mom. I've always been a big family person and couldn't wait to have a family of my own.

Is there anyone at NCWC who had a profound impact on your time as a Battling Bishop, either academically and/or athletically?

The people that made a big impact on my life at NCWC were the leaders and fellow students in FCA. We always had great discussions and good fellowship with one another. The leaders at the time have remained great friends with us till this day, even attended our wedding years after we graduated.

Do you have a favorite memory with your teammates or even NCWC in general?

I have several memories that I will forever cherish from Wesleyan especially with my teammates. But in particular is the athletic community as a whole. Some of my best memories would be games where the gym was packed, especially against the big conference opponents. It was always such a great feeling to have support from everyone!
