Alyssa Stout enters her third season with the North Carolina Wesleyan sports medicine staff. She came to Wesleyan from East Carolina University where she completed her Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science in May of 2015.

While at ECU, Stout served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Pirate tennis and cheerleading programs. Previously, she spent two seasons as an athletic training student at her alma mater, the University of Northern Iowa, where she was a 2013 Cum Laude graduate in the field of Athletic Training and Sports Psychology. In addition to working with several of UNI's varsity squads, Stout also completed internships at Waterloo Columbus and Waverly-Shell Rock High Schools, as well as Accelerated Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation.

Holding both CPR and First Aid Certifications, Stout has volunteered her ATC services for causes such as Special Olympics, and she remains a current member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association, and the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainers. 

She and her husband, Bishop assistant baseball coach Chris Stout, reside in Rocky Mount with their two dogs, Arley and Elli.
