Wesleyan Wraps Up Fall Slate at O'Briant Memorial

Greensboro, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan wrapped up the fall portion of its golf slate on Monday and Tuesday with a 12th-place finish at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford College. Held at the par-72 Cardinal Golf & Country Club, the Bishops carded team rounds of 321 and 334 to finish one stroke behind Washington & Lee University.

Freshman Stephen Bardswick paced Wesleyan at 19-over with rounds of 78 and 81, which was good enough for 38th-place. His opening 78 was the low round among Bishop scorers.

Also competing for NCWC were Darren Lau, Adam Coelho and Allen-Michael Wilson, who all finished 2-3 strokes apart at 163, 165 and 168, respectively.  Senior Zach Alexander rounded out the field.

Host Guilford took top team honors with rounds of 294 and 300, and the Quakers boasted the top two individual finishes as Noah Ratner and Drew Thompson finished at 1- and 2-over par. The two-day tournament featured 14 Division III teams and 89 golfers.
