NCWC Golfers Finish 7th at Georgetown Invitational

St. Augustine, Fla. - North Carolina Wesleyan opened up its spring golf slate on Monday and Tuesday with a 7th-place showing at the Georgetown College Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla. The Bishops were paced by freshman Lucas Norman, who carded rounds of 75 and 77 in his first collegiate action. Norman's two-day 152 (+8) tied him for 14th-place among the 56-man field. 

The two-round event was held at the par-72 Slammer and Squire Golf Course and featured 10 squads. The Bishops turned in rounds of 311 and 325 to finish at +56 as a team.

Also competing for Wesleyan were sophomore Allen-Michael Wilson (80-78) and freshman Stephen Bardswick (76-85), who finished 27th and 32nd, respectively. Junior Darren Lau carded rounds of 80 and 85, while senior Stefan Hauksson rounded out the Bishops' scorers.

Familar opponents in the field included USA South foes Averett and Shenandoah, who were 4th and 10th, respectively, in the team standings.
