North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team competed on Monday and Tuesday at the CenturyLink Invitational, co-hosted by Division II affiliates Barton and Mount Olive Colleges. Lucas Norman once again paced the Battling Bishops with rounds of 74 and 77 to finish at 7-over and tied for 12th-place, narrowly missing the event's 10-man All-Tournament team.

The two-day event was helt at Lane Tree Golf Club in Goldsboro, N.C. and featured 53 golfers. No team scores were kept, thus the event was considered an individual tournament. Medalist honors went to Barton's Daniel Claytor, who covered the 6,912-yard, par-72 layout in 6-under over the two rounds.

Also competing for the Bishops were Jarrett Hagler (80-80), Allen-Michael Wilson (81-84), Ryan Shearin (84-82) and Tommy Nakamura (92-89).

The Bishops will next be in action at Bridgewater's Tom Kinder Memorial on Sunday and Monday, September 16th and 17th.
