Wesleyan Golf Finishes 14th at Tom Kinder Memorial

Harrisonburg, Va. - North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team competed at Bridgewater College's Tom Kinder Memorial on Sunday and Monday, finishing 14th among a field of 18 teams. The Bishops rebounded from a 324 in the opening round for a solid 306 on Tuesday. NCWC was once again paced by Lucas Norman, who turned in an 8-over 152 (79-73).

Top team honors went to Milligan with team rounds of 289 and 290, while Trevor Banks of Virginia Intermont earned medalist recognition. Banks finished six strokes ahead of his closest competition with impressive rounds of 65 and 69 (-10).

The two-day event was held at the par-72 Lakeview Golf Club and featured 90 golfers. Norman carded the Bishops' low round with a 73 on Tuesday.

Also competing for Wesleyan were Tommy Nakamura (85-74), Allen-Michael Wilson (84-76) and Jarrett Hagler (76-85), who finished one stroke apart at +15, +16 and +17, respectively. Ryan Shearin rounded out Wesleyan's field with rounds of 86 and 83.
