Norman Earns Medalist Honors at Bullfight Summons

Louisburg, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan's Lucas Norman earned medalist honors at Friday's Bullfight Summons hosted by Louisburg College, helping his Bishops to a first-place finish among the three-team field. Norman's 1-under 71 was four strokes better than teammates Stephen Bardswick and Jarrett Hagler, who tied for second place with a round of 75.

Also competing for the Bishops were freshmen Raul de Leon and Tommy Nakamura, who finished at +7 with a 79 (T-9). Ryan Shearin rounded out Wesleyan's field with an 81, which placed him 13th.

The single-round event was held at the par-72 Bull Creek Golf Club. As a team, the Bishops carded a 300, followed by host Louisburg with a 310. Surry Community College completed the field with a team score of 314.

Next up for Wesleyan is Tom and Bettie O'Briant Memorial hosted by Guilford College on Monday and Tuesday, October 22nd and 23rd. The two-day event will be held at the Cardinal Golf & Country Club in Greensboro.
