Greensboro, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team wrapped up its fall season on Monday and Tuesday, competing at the 25th Annual O'Briant-Jensen Memorial Tournament hosted by Guilford College. Junior Allen-Michael Wilson paced the Bishops with two rounds of 81, which marked the low Bishop rounds of the tourney.

The two-day event was held at the par-72 Cardinal Golf & Country Club. Methodist University turned in team rounds of 293 and 285 to capture its record seventh O'Briant-Jensen crown, sweeping the top-two places and three of the top-four among the 90-man field.

The tournament featured six of NCAA Division III's top-25 teams, according to the Oct. 3 Golf World/NIKE Golf Division III Coaches' Poll, including two of the top-five squads. The Bishops managed a 16th place finish among the talented field with team rounds of 340 and 338.

The O'Briant-Jensen tourney is named for longtime Guilford golf supporters Tom & Bettie O'Briant as well former Guilford golf mentor Jack Jensen, who died suddenly in March 2010 in the midst of his 33rd season as the Quakers' golf coach.
