Norman Tallies Top-10 Finish at Rossin Memorial

Canonsburg, Pa. - Sophomore Lucas Norman tallied a top-10 finish at this week's Peter C. Rossin Memorial Tournament hosted by Washington & Jefferson University. Norman carded rounds of 75 and 79 to finish at 10-over par and secure a tie for 6th-place among the 49-man field.

The two-day even was held at the par-72 Southpointe Golf Club and featured ten teams. The Battling Bishops turned in rounds of 321 and 331 to wrap up 7th-place, just five strokes from a top-5 billing.

Junior Chris Freeman also performed well for the Bishops, recording two rounds of 78 to finish just two strokes behind his teammate Norman, which tied for 13th-place. Senior Allen-Michael Wilson shot 21-over (81-84) to secure his spot midway the pack, while Matthew May and Raul de Leon rounded out Wesleyan's scorers with two-day totals of 181 and 183, respectively.

Ohio Wesleyan took top team honors with rounds of 304 and 309. Host W&J's Evan Lestini captured medalist honors by carding two rounds of 74 to finish at +4.

The Bishops will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule next Sunday and Monday at the Ted Keller Memorial hosted by Randolph-Macon College.
