Wesleyan Golf Jumps 37 Spots in National Rankings

Rocky Mount, N.C. - After its stellar performance at last weekend's prestigious Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate, the North Carolina Wesleyan golf team jumped 37 spots in Tuesday's Division III national rankings issued by Golfstat. Having cracked the top-100 in late March, the Bishops' performance in Jacksonville bumped them up to #62 in April's first poll, the highest ranking in the four-year tenure of head coach Gregg Ripke.

Last weekend's tourney saw Wesleyan post wins over USA south foes Greensboro, Averett and Ferrum, who are currently seeded #3, #4 and #6 in the league, respectively. The jump in ranking is a direct reflection of the hard work put in by Ripke and his players.
