Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its first weekly golf awards for the 2015-16 season, and N.C. Wesleyan is pleased to announce that sophomore Ben Gillon has picked up his first career honor.
Gillon, who hails from Chesterfield, United Kingdom, was tabbed Golfer of the Week after finishing second at the Tom Kinder Memorial in Harrisonburg, Virginia, shooting a five-under par 139. In the two-day event, Gillon opened with a bogey-free 69 and finished with a two-under par 70. His performance helped the Bishops to a 6th-place team finish.
