Laurinburg, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan wrapped up its fall golf season on Monday and Tuesday at the St. Andrews University Fall Invitational. Sophomore Grady Anderson finished in the top-10 to help lead his Bishops to a solid 2nd-place finish among nine teams competing. The two-day event was held at the par-72 Scotch Meadows Country Club in Laurinburg.

Freshman Luke Thornton's 75 led the Bishops in the opening round, while junior David White carded a 76. A pair of 77s by Anderson and freshman Mariano Silvestri secured a 305 team score for NCWC heading into Tuesday.

Behind a tourney-best 73 by Anderson in the final round, the Bishops were able to shave two strokes off their day one score, giving Wesleyan a two-day total of 608... one stroke ahead of host St. Andrews and just 13 strokes off the pace set by perennial powerhouse Methodist University.

Anderson tied for 9th-place among the field of 54 golfers with a two-day 150, with Silvestri's rounds of 77 and 74 tying for 11th at 151. White and Thornton posted a 155 and 156, respectively, which place both in the top-20. Senior Matthew May bounced back from an 83 on Monday to card a 77 in the final round to tie for 31st at 163.

Playing as an individual, senior Pearce Parsons tied for 24th overall with rounds of 83 and 76 (159).
