Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released it weekly awards in the sport of men's golf, and North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that freshman Juan de Giacomi has been named the league's Rookie of the Week.
The freshman from Posadas, Argentina finished tied for tenth at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, North Carolina last week by shooting a one-over par 143. In the two-day event, de Giacomi opened with a two-over par 74 on Paradise Point's gold course and finished with a one-under par 69 on the scarlet course to help the Battling Bishops finish tied for second as a team in the championship bracket.
