Giacomi Becomes First-Ever Bishop Named to All-South Region Team

Rocky Mount, N.C. - Division III PING All-Region honorees have been announced, and N.C. Wesleyan freshman Juan de Giacomi has become the first Bishop in program history to garner recognition. A total of 100 players across six regions - Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Great Lakes, Central and West - earned accolades for 2018. Giacomi was one of 20 players selected in the South Region, and the Argentina native was also named to the All-Freshman team, which honored just one rookie in each region.

Giacomi played a major role in the Battling Bishops' climb in the national rankings this season, as well as the team's first USA South Conference Championship win in 45 years. The All-Conference honoree led Wesleyan with a team-best 73.6 stroke average and five top-10 finishes in 2017-18, highlighed by a runner-up finish in his first-ever conference tournament.

Congratulations Juan!
