Bishop Golf tied for First after Day One of Adidas Tournament

Dataw Island, S.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan College Golf team is currently tied for first place with Oglethorpe University after the first two rounds on day one of the Adidas-TaylorMade Intercollegiate tournament hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Monday. The tournament was held at the Cotton Dike Course in Dataw Island, SC.

Wesleyan shot a 36 hole total of 587 (294-293) and had the second best round during the afternoon session and they along with Oglethorpe lead 3rd place Hampden-Sydney by one stroke.

Junior Luke Thornton is currently leading the Bishops with a score of 144 (even par) after rounds of 73 and 71 on Monday and is currently tied for 2nd place overall. 

Senior Grady Anderson is also right in the mix tied for 8th at +2 overall with rounds of 72 and 74. Freshman Frankie Schmitt also played well shooting rounds of 73 and 74 to sit +3 over par and tied for 13th.

Round 3 is Tuesday.
