Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards for October 8th. North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that freshman Malick Chune has been honored by the league as the Rookie of the Week in men's soccer.
Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Malick Chune, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman midfielder from Banjul, The Gambia scored a goal and added an assist in the team's only contest last week, a 5-2 win over USA South foe Greensboro. His goal was the eventual game-winner and came in 62nd minute. Chune then added an assist on an insurance goal in the 82nd minute. This is Chune's first Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
