Langhorne, Pa. - The men's soccer team of North Carolina Wesleyan opened up a 2-0 lead at the half and held on for a 2-1 victory at Cairn University on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore keeper Nathan Mangione picked up his fourth win of the season for the Bishops, who now stand at 4-0-1 on the season.

Leifur Kristjansson and Andri Bjarnason each netted goals for Wesleyan. Kristjansson struck first with an unassisted score in the 42nd minute, while Bjarnason booted home the eventual gamewinner with just 12 seconds left in the opening period.

Cairn cut the lead in half with an early goal in the second half, but Mangione would let CU get no closer as he made three saves on nine shots in the match.

NCWC out-shot CU 14-9 on the day and held a 7-3 advantage in corners.

The Bishops return to the friendly confines of Scalf Field on Tuesday to host Roanoke College at 4:00pm.
