USA South Announces 2015 Men's Soccer Awards

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has announced its 2015 All-Conference awards for men's soccer, with a total of 40 student-athletes earning recognition. North Carolina Wesleyan had five players garner accolades.

At forward, junior Caetano Viegas was named to the Second Team after leading the team in scoring with 10 goals and 23 total points, which both ranked in the league's top-5. He was joined on the All-Conference team by Second Teamer Drew Wiltse, who picks up his second straight honor in the midfield.

On defense, juniors Thorfinnur Thorfinnsson and Halldor Bjarneyjarson earned Second Team nods for the first time in their careers. Thorfinsson tied for the conference lead in assists with eight, while Bjarneyjarson notched a pair of goals and assists.

Rounding out the Bishops' honorees was freshman midfielder Olafur Einarsson. Einarsson ranked second on the team in scoring with 14 points (4 goals, 6 assists) and was also the Bishops' representative on the league's All-Sportsmanship team.

Elsewhere around the league, Greensboro's Sean Watt was named the Player of the Year, his teammate Carlos Barragan collected Rookie of the Year honors, and their coach, Tony Falvino, earned Coach of the Year accolades.
