Wadda, Boompong Garner USA South Weekly Accolades

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards for October 17th. North Carolina Wesleyan men's soccer had two player recognized as A.J. Wadda and Kobi Boompong were named Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
A.J. Wadda, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior midfielder from Fredericksburg, Virginia tallied four goals and one assist in a 3-0 week for the Bishops versus USA South competition. In a 4-1 win over Huntingdon, Wadda notched his first career hat trick with three goals, including the eventual gamewinner. In a 7-1 victory over LaGrange, he assisted on the eventual gamewinning goal while also scoring one of his own.

MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kobi Boompong, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman midfielder from Bakoteh, The Gambia notched three goals and two assists in NCWC's 3-0 week. In a 5-1 win over William Peace, Boompong scored twice, including the eventual gamewinner, and added an assist. After being held to two shots versus Huntingdon, Boompong followed up with a goal and assist in Wesleyan's 7-1 win at LaGrange. He assisted on the game's opening score before notching the eventual gamewinning goal in the 14th minute.
