Matteo Torchio, N.C. Wesleyan - The Rome, Italy freshman goalkeeper stopped all six shots he faced last week as he posted two shutouts in a 2-0 week for the Bishops against USA South competition. In a 1-0 win over Methodist, Torchio stopped one shot while in a 1-0 victory over Pfeiffer he turned away five attempts as he was named USA South Conference Defender of the Week.
Torchio will next lead the Bishops into a non-conference tilt against D-1 foe College of Charleston on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
