Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards for March 20th, and N.C. Wesleyan is pleased to announce that junior Sebastian Sikh has been tabbed the league's Player of the Week in men's tennis. This is his first award of the 2017 season.
A native of Eskilstuna, Sweden, Sikh earned a straight-set victory at #1 singles over David Reed of nationally-ranked (28th) Christopher Newport. Sikh's victory was one of five Wesleyan wins in singles action, helping the team overcome a 3-0 doubles deficit and pull off the 5-4 upset.
