Wesleyan Sweeps Final USA South Weekly Tennis Awards

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its final weekly awards of the spring season with North Carolina Wesleyan men's tennis sweeping Player and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Sebastian Sikh, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior from Eskilstuna, Sweden earned a 3-0 record at #1 singles, as well as a 3-0 mark at #2 and #3 doubles last week for the Battling Bishops against nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins and two of the top three teams in the USA South East Division (Methodist and Averett). In doubles, Sikh teamed with David Chang for the wins. 
 
Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Roberto Puig, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Malaga, Spain earned a 3-0 record at both #4 singles and #1 doubles last week for the Battling Bishops against #17 Johns Hopkins and USA South foes Methodist and Averett. In doubles, Puig teamed with Ioannis Brokakis for the wins.
