NC Wesleyan College's men's tennis player, Roberto Puig was award the USA South Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 4 for his stellar play over the previous two weeks of play.

Roberto Puig, N.C. Wesleyan - The sophomore from Malaga, Spain earned a 3-0 singles record at the number-two spot and a 2-1 mark at the top doubles spot over the past two weeks for the Battling Bishops.
Puig collected singles victories over opponents from two nationally-ranked Division III teams in Christopher Newport (Va.) and Johns Hopkins (Md.) as well as Division II Mount Olive (NC). In doubles, Puig teamed with senor #1 Ioannis Brokakis to defeat teams from Christopher Newport and Johns Hopkins as well.
Puig will next help lead the Bishops (6-1) into their conference opener at Peace University in Raleigh on Saturday, March 16 at Noon.
