Men's Tennis Shuts out Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College men's tennis team rolled to a dominating conference win vs. overmatched Greensboro College on the road Saturday afternoon sweeping them 9-0 in each game of the doubleheader.

The men combined to not a lose a single game throughout the entire day. Each of the doubles teams won 8-0 while all of the singles competitors would win 6-0, 6-0 in each match.

Freshmen Ignacio Mercado and Jordan Evans led the Bishops at the top two lines while freshmen Fayz Mavlyudov and Ignacio Rodriguez dominated their foes at the 3rd and 4th lines. Jake Gibson also picked up wins at the 5 line as well.

The  men improve to 12-1 on the year and 4-0 in the conference while Greensboro falls to 0-3.

The  men are back in action on Tuesday to face Div. II Chowan on the road at 2 PM.
