Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly awards for September 9th, with N.C. Wesleyan securing its first honoree of the season in the form of sophomore goalkeeper Haley Hopkins of women's soccer. The Stow, Ohio native posted a 1-1 record last week and secured the Bishops' first win of the season.

Over two matches, Hopkins stopped 12 shots in 180 minutes played and faced 28 shots overall. In a 1-0 win at Randolph, she recorded her first shutout by pushing aside five shots-on-goal, and in a 1-0 loss to Randolph-Macon, she made seven saves.
