Staunton, Va. - In USA South women's soccer action, N.C. Wesleyan posted a 6-0 shutout at Mary Baldwin on Sunday. Senior Logan Bill netted two goals, including the gamewinner, while Maggie Rankin added two assists.

Bill netted the only goal of the opening half, connecting on a Mehli Marcellus assist in the 7th minute. NCWC went on to tally five scores in the second half, beginning with Hannah Tolson's just five minutes in on an assist from Bill. Another insurance goal by Bill (55' from Tolson) was followed up by a pair of scores by Madeline Williams, both assisted by Rankin. Marcellus' goal with 49 seconds remaining was assisted by Anna Stribling and secured the 6-0 final.

The win came on the heels of a tough 1-0 loss at division-leading Ferrum on Saturday. The Bishops held an 11-8 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in shots-on-goal, but the Panthers were able to get the gamewinner of a deflection with just 1:05 remaining in the opening half. FC keeper Taylor Dodson made four saves to secure the shutout.

Wesleyan (9-5-1, 8-4 USA South) will wrap up its regular season slate on the road next week. The Bishops will travel to Greensboro for a 4:00pm tilt with the Pride on Saturday, followed by a 2:00pm match at William Peace on Sunday.
